In early October of this year, 100 children will have the opportunity to “launch into space” with the AstroNuts Kids Space Club. Special Olympics Ontario has been invited to participate in this fun event!

Interested participants must be registered with Special Olympics Ontario and be of elementary school age.

Participants will forever look back on this experience and know that they’ve “reached for the stars” and “dared to dream”. AstroNuts is “just” an amazing kids space club whose goal is to inspire and educate.

The plan is to launch a high altitude helium weather balloon from the launch site in Goderich Ontario to an altitude of 120,000 feet. The goal is to become the first kids space club in the world to launch "kids into space" by sending their DNA. “DNA Services of Canada” is a sponsor graciously donated 100 DNA swabbing kits.

Participation is FREE.
